Hacked...

I never expected this could have happen to me. I have just discovered that my blog had been systematically "hacked" throughout the month of November. Each of my November posts (save for one) had been scrubbed from my blog - moments after each was posted.

I am sickened that my readers will not have the pleasure of reading those stories. Sadly, they are lost forever.

The authorities are investigating this security breach. I advised them there is only ONE person who had the opportunity, motive and (it pains me to say) the intelligence to hack my site... NOBERT TRICKHART!

I no longer have to wonder how Mark Twain, O. Henry, or Guy de Maupassant would have felt had one of their manuscripts been hacked from their computers. They would have felt horribly violated.

Inside The Trickhart Basement...

Revealed here for the first time is an illustration of the Trickhart's finished basement.

As you can see, the British phone booth has been removed to make room for the ventilation crank. The room comfortably seats three - but they need to remain seated. Standing or lying down will negatively impact the maximum occupancy of the room. Clearly they won't be playing Bridge down there.

This is what happens when your general contractor was a General in the Defense Department's Office of Civil Defense during the 1950's.

Simple "Pirate" Math:

$65,000 - Cost of building basement
Minus
$15.00 - Cost of a comparatively sized cardboard box with air holes
Equals
$64,985 - Overcharge
Divided By
$8.50 - Average cost of mixed drink
Equals
7,645 - Unfunded Cuba Libres (Rum & Coke with a lime)

This is a very sad day for pirates!
